This award builds on AIS’s six-year track record of successful execution within the program and reinforces its role as a trusted partner in delivering high-integrity, fishery-dependent data to support sustainable fisheries management.
SEFOP provides critical scientific data used to monitor fisheries, assess stock health, inform quotas, and support regulatory compliance. AIS supports shrimp, reef fish, shark, and pelagic fisheries throughout the South Atlantic, Gulf of America, Northeast pelagic regions, and international locations including Puerto Rico and Trinidad.
In addition to at-sea fisheries coverage, AIS will continue to provide platform removal support services, delivering monitoring and compliance support during offshore structure decommissioning activities. These services ensure adherence to federal environmental requirements while maintaining data integrity during complex offshore operations.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with NOAA Fisheries and support the SEFOP mission through reliable, unbiased data collection,” said Rebecca Hailey, Vice President of Fisheries Moniroting and Research at AIS.
AIS remains committed to delivering high-quality unbiased data that enables science-based decision-making and the long-term sustainability of marine resources.
