Pay and Benefits

AIS feels strongly that observers should be treated with respect and paid accordingly. We have developed a pay schedule that follows the Department of Labor wage determination for Fishery Observers. The schedule takes into consideration the time current observers have spent in the NPGOP as well as other programs. Full time employees receive performance evaluations and may qualify for bonuses based on data quality, performance and longevity. In addition to the exceptional compensation, AIS offers all full time employees a generous benefit package that includes:

• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• UNUM Short Term/Long Term disability insurance which includes counseling services
• Sick, vacation and holiday pay
• Enrollment in the company’s profit sharing plan

AIS provides all employees with a company cell phone, foul weather gear, and gloves to use during their deployments.
