AIS awarded purchase order to develop photo library and algorithms for machine learning / artificial intelligence in fisheries dependent data collection

NOAA Fisheries Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center awarded AIS a purchase order to develop a photo library and algorithms to characterize the hook disposition for longline sets. This work will contribute towards developing machine learning / artificial intelligence in fisheries dependent data collection. The work will consist of a base year and two option periods.
